We enjoyed our stay there every minute starting from a welcoming tea. Stefania has been great in taking care of most of the service from small details which made our stay so unforgettable. She’s also very kind, courteous, and professional. The restaurant offers so much with a perfect combination of traditional and modern Moroccan cuisine and fresh products. The food was excellent, as well as the massage service.
The service was absolutely outstanding. This includes the little touches. They even offer a mobile phone with local numbers that we could carry around, so we can easily get in contact with them in case if we got lost.

There are not many cons to this Riad. However, if you want to use the Jacuzzi, it’s only available for use for the private rooms, so make sure that you ask first or best to book your rooms that come with a Jacuzzi.
You’ll also find that the music is too loud coming from the lobby in some rooms, but the staff are quite accommodating if you ask them to lower the volume down.
2. Riad Johara – Best Riads In Marrakech, Morocco
Riad Johara is also one of the best Riads in Marrakech, Morocco. This Riad is situated in the center of Marrakech, very close to most of the tourist attractions, street shops, and nearby restaurants.
The architecture is spectacular with beautiful tasteful Moroccan furniture and decorations. The rooms and the atmosphere are very well kept and cleaned.
The area is also very safe to walk around while sightseeing the city of Marrakech, and the Medina which is just around the corner from the Souks. This also leads to a popular Jemma el-Finaa Square.
The staff speak English perfectly and even provide you with a map that offers many tips and great advice. They are also very helpful and friendly to all their guests.
The food is tasteful, especially for breakfast. You can literally enjoy your breakfast on the terrace with beautiful views. They offer a plentiful and delicious breakfast that comes with cheese, bread, jams, pancakes, fruit, fresh coffee, and many more.
The rooms are decorated beautifully and kept clean throughout our stay. It was extremely comfortable with clean beds, pillows, linens, towels, slippers, soaps and more features that were offered. The rooms also come with air conditioning with large bathrooms and beds.
The rooftop terrace is available for everyone to enjoy and relax while sunbathing, soaking up the sun and have your meals for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. It’s also worth noting that the terrace comes with a small pool that you can indulge in after a long hot day of exploring the souks. You can easily cool down and relax at the pool to cool off in the afternoon or in the evening.
Overall, I highly recommend Riad Johara, as you’ll get to experience the authentic Moroccan experience throughout your stay.
There’s really not many major negatives to write about this Riad.
The Riad is quite difficult to find and not that convenient on the first day especially if you are carrying heavy luggage as taxis won’t be able to drop you off directly to the Riad. Like most Riads in Morocco, taxis aren’t able to drive through to the Riad due to narrow streets.
Some of the rooms don’t have a block curtain to prevent people from seeing through the rooms. Also, some rooms clogged the shower sink.

Location: Riad El Bellar is one of the cheapest and best Riads in Marrakech, Morocco situated within the little alleyway close to the Medina Square. It’s very close to all the shops, grocery stores, restaurants, and other Riads. I really love the fact that it’s within walking distance to many different tourist attractions, and even to the main roads where you can access different transportation (buses, and taxis). Please keep in mind that cars cannot go beyond the main square of Medina, so you’ll have to walk to Riad El Bellar (approximately 5-10 minutes walk).
You can easily get a cheap price per night here at a discounted price.
Staff: Mattheui, Zacharia, Kabera, and Ali were very friendly and helpful. The most friendly staff I have ever met. Zacharia always made the effort to make our afternoon teas while we were relaxing downstairs by the lounge. Zacharia picked us up by the main square where the taxi dropped us off and then we walked to Riad El Bellar together. Best Riads In Marrakech.
We wouldn’t have been able to find the Riad if Zacheria didn’t pick us up. Kabera always makes our breakfast on time. And she was very attentive to our needs. On our last day, Kabera arranged our taxi ride to the airport, and she was very kind to drop us off to the main road close to the Medina to meet our taxi driver. Kabera also gave me a little red scarf present because she knows that I love scarves.
And she even taught me how to wrap and tie a headscarf properly. Ali was also very helpful in managing the Riad. Mattheui was also very nice and responsive to my messages, though he does not live in Marrakech, so we didn’t get to meet him. He also arranged our taxi transfer and everything else. Best Riads In Marrakech, Morocco.
Cleanliness and Comfort: The Riad is always clean and very comfortable to just hang around after a long day of sightseeing. Riad El Bellar is also very safe. Walking outside through a short alleyway is also safe to get to all the shops, restaurants, and the main square. Best Riads In Marrakech, Morocco.
Value for money: The price per night for Riad El Bellar is a good value for money, it’s very cheap considering that it’s so close to the Medina Square, and the Souk Market. The room isn’t too small and not too big either. I think our room was a medium size. The shower is just next to the toilet. Wifi was reasonable, we managed to use the internet. Best Riads In Marrakech, Morocco.
Overall, I highly recommend Riad El Bellar. It’s a very cozy Riad, and you’d feel like you’re at home.
There are very little cons to Riad El Bellar just like many other Riads.
It can get a bit noisy if there are people talking from the courtyard, as most Riads have a courtyard where you can relax in the lounge, drink, and socialize.
We could also hear other guests talking loud next to our room, but that didn’t bother us.
We could also hear the beautiful sound of the 4 am morning prayer from all the mosques nearby that always woke us up every morning. On our first day, it was quite hard to get back to sleep, however, on the 3rd day, we managed to get used to it.
The wifi internet connection wasn’t the fastest. There were a few times we had to keep reconnecting which was frustrating.
Riad El Bellar is situated in an alleyway, I didn’t feel quite safe walking back at night especially during the first night, however, I got used to it in the following nights.
La Sultana Marrakech is also one of the best riads in Marrakech, Morocco, your sought after affordable luxurious Riad (Hotel) that is situated in the middle of Medina, and just inside the Kasbah within easy walking distance to many sights.
This Riad/Hotel is a lovely haven away that’s a little bit away from the hustle and bustle outside. Offering a glorious rooftop terrace with the pool area, stunning rooms, delicious food, and attentive staff.
What I love about this hotel is that offers full of Moroccan character and style, and a huge amount of detail that has been placed into everything. From the moment you enter, the staff are very helpful, friendly and really makes the effort the ensure your comfort and needs are met.
The restaurant area is fantastic, offering lots of different tables to indulge in as well as with private spaces and along with guitars and live music playing in the background, and a wonderful ambiance that you can immerse yourself into.
The pool is available for everyone to enjoy while soaking in the sun, and relax after a long day of sightseeing while having your drinks.
This hotel is definitely one of the five-star hotels that’s affordable and it’s still quite close to the Medina and to many tourist attractions whilst still away from the crowd and the bustle outside.
I also love the fact that their service is extremely attentive and friendly, and most often you even get upgraded to the best rooms with stunning views and spacious rooms.
They also make sure that your stay will always be enjoyable.
Everything was absolutely beyond my expectations. The Riad/Hotel is still quite in the middle of the old Medina which you can expect to be easily wandering around the area without getting lost.

From the moment you check-in, you’ll instantly be taken to a wonderful Moroccan experience that comes with a warm welcoming and a beautiful oasis of quietness and traditional luxury.
There is nothing wrong with the hotel, however, the gym is not as equipped as I’d like it to be considering that it’s a five-star hotel. But that didn’t really bother me at all.
